Transition off of The City

by Andrew Munneke

If you missed our Member Meeting on June 25th, one big announcement we made involved the transition off of TheCity to a new online resource called Church Center Online.  Church Center Online is a simple, easy to use software which will make giving easier for you, and help us to keep better track of the finances coming in to The Hill that the Lord is blessing us with!  We want to make the transition off of TheCity and on to Church Center Online as easy as possible for you, so we will gradually be asking you to switch over any recurring donations or one-time payments over to the new giving interface between now and December.  In order to help you do so, we've provided a simple, step-by-step process to guide you through the transition.

First, cancelling payments on TheCity:

  1. Go to www.thehillchurch.onthecity.com and sign in to your account
  2. On the lef-hand side of the page, select the tab titled "Giving"
  3. If you would like a copy of your year-to-date giving statement from this site, select the tab at the top titled "My Giving" and click "Export to PDF" under "Reporting period" on the right side of the page.
  4. Select the "Donation Status" tab at the top of the page to see all scheduled recurring payments.
  5. On the left side of the page, click each box next to the scheduled payments.
  6. Select "Delete" and then "Remove" when prompted.
  7. Once all payments have been removed, log out of TheCity.

Next, set up new payments on Church Center Online:

  1. Go to www.thehillchurch.churchcenteronline.com and select "Donate Online"
  2. Enter the amount you would like to give
  3. Set the donation to recur automatically by selecting "Regularly" under "Occurance" and the page wil automatically update to give you options as to how often and on what date the donation will occur.
  4. Enter your email address and name, and click "Continue"
  5. Select "Bank Account" or "Debit/Credit Card" (Bank accounts can be linked by entering your online banking credentials after selecting "Bank Login" or by entering your routing and account numbers after selecting "Micro-Deposit Verification."  If Debit/Credit Card is selected, the page will be updated for all debit/credit card information to be entered.)
  6. Once your payment method has been verified, click "Give."
  7. Click "Add an address" and a link will be sent to your email address to create your account.

Any time you go to log on to church center online, an email will be sent to your account to offer a secure login, rather than remembering a separate username and password.
