Prayer: Matthew 6:5-15

by Andrew Munneke

Many Christians struggle with prayer due to busy schedules or a lack of desire for it. The problem is that we often see prayer as a duty instead of a delight. In this sermon we begin our new series on PRAYER by focusing on the object of our prayer and spend some time praying for our Church and our City.

Covenant Member Meeting

January 28, 2018

by Andrew Munneke

God calls us to a life of sacrifice, generosity, service and radical commitment to the good of the church.  Here at The Hill Church, membership recognizes and responds to the call of being and making disciples, Membership is an affirmation and agreement to contribute to the good of the body rather than consume from it.  Starting in January we will be holding quarterly Member Meeting in the Sanctuary.  All Covenant Members are encouraged to attend this meeting, as we will discuss important information in the life of the church. The first meeting of the year will be January 28th at 5 pm. Childcare will be provided.

Advent: Love

by Andrew Munneke

The King has come, and He will come again. This is the hope and eager expectation of Advent, a Latin word which means “coming” or “arrival.” Advent is a time when we take a close look at the coming of Jesus Christ in humility as a baby and anticipate His future second coming in glory. It’s a time for watching and waiting and remembering and rejoicing in God’s fulfilled promise of the Savior.
